BLISCare has been a game-changer for my practice. Knowing that complications – including revisions – are financially covered lets me focus entirely on achieving the best aesthetic outcomes for my patients. Patient satisfaction and referrals have also improved because of BLISCare.

BLISCare gives me and my patients peace of mind. When they are paying for their surgery out-of-pocket, they don’t have to worry about a potential financial disaster in the unlikely event of a complication. The common complications are covered! If a patient suffers a complication, it’s understandable that they could be a little upset with their surgeon. Now, if they also had to pay for the evaluation and treatment of that complication out of their pocket as well; you can imagine they would be more than a little upset. I sleep better knowing my patients are protected with BLISCare.
BLISCare also gives me a bigger bottom line. Being able to offer my patients this valuable complication protection gives me a competitive advantage over surgeons who don’t offer this protection.

Insurance coverage for bariatric surgery remains a big challenge in many states and access to bariatric care for many patients comes down to financing the procedures out of their hard-earned dollars. As practitioners, we do everything we can to make cash-paying prices affordable for our patients. But what happens when a cash-paying patient experiences an unexpected complication? Who will pick up the tab for the additional days spent in the hospital and who pays when a patient ends up having to go back to the operating room? Hospital administrators are not in the position to write off major secondary expenses and patients who are already upset about their unexpected outcomes are more likely to seek legal action when they are stuck with additional bills, especially when they already made a significant payment to finance their bariatric procedure. This is where BLISCare comes to rescue. My practice has been purchasing BLISCare for our cash-paying bariatric patients for over 10 years and although, thankfully, we have had very few occasions to utilize the BLISCare policy, when we have had to do so, it has been a very positive experience. The staff are extremely responsive and there are rarely any surprises to deal with. The Bariatric Institute of Greater Chicago wholeheartedly endorses BLISCare and recommends it to our colleagues across the country.
